Campaign Toolkit

At the core of this campaign is a universal message: you’re not going through this alone. That’s why we’ve developed this toolkit — to give you the chance to spread the word within your networks, and benefit from the interactions and engagement that come with it. The new GMSH website is a powerful resource for our community, but our end goal is to connect people with service providers like you to ensure they get the support and guidance they deserve. With these materials, we’re hoping to bridge that gap and further your connection with your local community. Because if no one ever told them, you will (with love).

The resources below are designed to be posted organically on your channels. We’ve included multiple options for graphics and sample captions, as well as options for email banners to include in your newsletters. We’ve also linked two photo banks that include your isolated headshots currently featured on the new website.

For 2SGBTQ+? people, coming out doesn’t come with instructions.

No roadmap. No trusted adult pulling you aside to explain sex, relationships, health, or how to find your place in the world. That’s why the @gaymenssexualhealthalliance developed the closest thing to an official guide for guys who have sex with guys.

Alongside the re-freshed GMSH.ca website, the campaign shares real stories from community members about the things they wish someone had told them earlier, from HIV prevention and testing, to body image, loneliness, belonging, and finding support without judgment.

Because people deserve more than fear, shame, and misinformation. They deserve honest, affirming, evidence-based information grounded in lived experience.

So if no one ever told you, we will (with love) 💜

Queer people face unique obstacles in accessing sexual and mental health resources, services, and education.

Many of us go through it alone, with no guide book or mentors to help us understand sex, relationships, health, and how to find our place in the world. The Gay Men’s Sexual Health Alliance of Ontario’s latest campaign ‘If no one ever told you, we will (with love)’ is here to change that narrative.

Built through collaboration between frontline workers, clinicians, researchers, and people with lived experience, the newly refreshed GMSH.ca website brings together trusted, evidence-based, and sex-positive resources for gay, bi, queer, trans, Two-Spirit, and other men who have sex with men across Ontario.

New features on the website include:

  • A province-wide service finder, connecting users with their closest service providers
  • Multilingual access, with translations in French, Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, and Chinese
  • A real-time chatbot for resource navigation, pulling information from GMSH.ca exclusively
