Bad Trips

Supporting a Bad Trip

Sometimes, drugs can give rise to feelings of fear, confusion, or paranoia. If someone’s having a bad trip:

  • Stay calm and sit with them
  • Don’t argue or challenge what they see
  • Offer water, a blanket, or quiet space
  • Remind them the feeling will pass
  • Never give another drug to “fix” the trip

Your presence and reassurance are the best support.
